Keegan & Novick Obtains Not Guilty Ruling for Defendant Accused of Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon

A Quincy judge determined that an assault suspect was not guilty after the legal team at Keegan & Novick, a Boston criminal defense law firm, motioned the court for a required finding of not guilty. Keegan & Novick filed the motion in the Quincy District Court in Norfolk County (case number 1156-3832).

According to court documents, the judge made the ruling after prosecution submitted evidence that included testimony from two police officers, a police detective, and a hospital security officer. Prosecutors also submitted medical records and photographs of the alleged victims body as evidence against the defendant.

Court documents indicate that prosecutors attempted to convict the defendant of assault with a dangerous weapon. The prosecution alleged that the defendant stabbed her boyfriend twice.
